About
Who makes this, and the rules it is built to.
anekdote is run by Abhishek Rajput. It is where I put the things I build outside of work — small browser things, usually one idea each, finished rather than shipped in pieces.
The first of them is TenUp, a number pairing puzzle. There is a strategy guide for it here.
What everything here holds to
- It works immediately. No account, no sign-in, no email address, no tour. You open the page and the thing is running.
- It works offline. TenUp keeps playing with the connection off, because the situations where you want a puzzle and the situations where you have no signal overlap almost perfectly.
- It does not follow you around. There is no analytics on this site and none in the game. Your progress is saved in your own browser and never sent anywhere. The privacy policy is short because there is genuinely little to describe.
- It is free. TenUp offers an optional advert in exchange for extra hints, and it is optional in the real sense — nothing is withheld and nothing is nagged if you decline.
- It is plain. These pages are static HTML and one stylesheet, no framework and no build step. That is partly taste and partly so they still load on a bad connection.
Get in touch
[email protected] reaches me directly. Bug reports are genuinely welcome, particularly for TenUp — if a board behaved oddly, telling me the level and roughly what was on screen is usually enough to find it.
